Our Lower Salmon River "Canyons" River trip is the ideal family vacation! With its "pool-drop" nature, the Lower Salmon River has a perfect mix of adrenaline-inducing class III+ whitewater separated by friendly pools for swimming in the comfortable 70 degree water temperatures.

You will float through multiple steep basalt, granite, and limestone canyons that open up, giving you a views that some can only dream about.

If you're a hiker, the Lower Salmon boasts many easy hikes to view ancient pictographs from the Nez Perce Indians, or rock houses built by early miners. For the fishermen, you will have the opportunity to catch big Salmon River Smallmouth Bass, trout, and sturgeon.

This rafting trip boasts the warmest weather, fewest bugs, and biggest beaches the Salmon River has to offer. your kids will love the endless amount of beach and camp games on the football field sized white sandy beaches. You will pass through steep granite and metamorphosed volcanic gorges that open up to wide columnar basalt formations, leaving you in awe.

Your trip will end where the two deepest river gorges in North America join forces at the confluence of the Salmon and Snake Rivers in the heart of Hells Canyon. You and your party will hop on a jet boat and experience a slice of Hells Canyon on your way back home.
